Kate Phillips is gone.

Kate Phillips – also known as Kay Linnaker – was, as I’ve descried, my high school drama coach and 12th grade English teacher. Interestingly, her name has come up over and over recently. I do hope we didn’t draw Death’s attention to the poor woman.

This is kinda messing with my head. My LJ friend [info]maisfeeka was just discussing this same thing the other day in this post, in similarly personal terms, and yet, to the best of my knowledge, you two don't know each other. The fact that my world keeps shrinking like this rather freaks me out.

From what I've read is any indication, a very great many people will miss her dearly, which is the surest sign that she lived a very full life and touched the lives of many others.
